Ministries
When you consider the fact that most Christians
develop a relationship with Jesus Christ before the age of 18 and
that most teens drop out of church when they graduate from high
school, you can see how important youth ministry is. That's why
WBC has a full-time youth pastor to lead a staff of volunteers in
reaching and keeping teens.
boilingpoint - Millennial Worship Service -- Sundays
at 9:30am and 11am in the chapel. The worship gathering is a dynamic mix of praise music and hand-on, experiential worship activities. It is designed so that the worshippers can "engage" as much as they feel comfortable, while at the same time giving them an opportunity to truly express to God how they feel about Him.
Saturate - Student Training Time -- Every Sunday from 4:30pm until 6:00pm we meet in small group at the church building to study more closely the teachings of Jesus in the BIble and the disciplines needed to continue to grow in faith in the relationship we have with Jesus. This is what many would call a discipleship program.
Odyssey and Venture Groups -- These small group Bible studies meet in homes throughout the week. They provide a more intimate setting for studying the Bible and learning more about Jesus and how to follow Him.
AFTERMATH
-- Youth fellowships meeting periodically on Sunday evenings.
Super Summer -- A week-long
camp for 7th-12th graders at the Webster Conference Center in Salina,
Kansas. Hundreds of youth from Kansas and Nebraska meet for inspiration,
recreation, worship, and fun.
Mission Trips -- Each summer
teens have an opportunity to participate in a mission trip. Whether
it is an AWANA trip to Camp of the Woods, Canada or a mission trip
somewhere in the U.S. or overseas, youth experience serving Christ
and others.
Fun and Fellowship Activities -- Teens
can participate in monthly activities aimed at providing fun, fellowship,
and friendships.
Intervals on campus on Sundays and Wednesdays.
